In the mobility world, vehicle identity management on blockchain is the foundation for the connected vehicle ecosystem. It delivers trust, privacy, transparency, faster transactions, lower costs, and security to the marketplace and its participants. This session will cover the connected vehicle ecosystem model and use cases, vehicle identity requirements, the new MOBI (Mobility Open Blockchain Initiative) vehicle identity standard, and vehicle wallet, identity, and privacy strategies. You will also see a live demo of a prototype vehicle identity service implemented with a Hyperledger Fabric blockchain supporting the MOBI VID standard, key Hyperledger features, smart contract and API interfaces, related data models, sample transactions and a summary of next steps in connected vehicle identity on blockchains.
