Digital Transformation in the DoD: U.S. Navy Case Study

The United States Navy is seeking to modernize its current acquisition and logistic support IT infrastructure, and requires a new approach to doing business. This initiative is called Model-Based Product Support (MBPS) and is a system with enterprise and field level capability. The end result is being able to effectively and efficiently acquire, field, and sustain weapon systems' digital twin and enable appropriate predictive analysis and modeling tools that can improve material availability and reliability, increase operational availability, and reduce operation and sustainment cost.
